Take a Deep Breath, You’re in the Right Place

“I always feel like there is something to worry about.”

Maybe you are feeling emotionally drained after spending time with people in your life. Or experiencing difficulty making decisions and always feel the need to please people. You may feel stuck and just uncertain of how to move forward at this point of your life.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck in “worry mode”, noticing more panic or dread, or struggling with your self-image, I see you. I’ve been you. The truth is, so many of us are carrying more than we let on—and it makes perfect sense to want a space to let some of that go.

Therapy can be that space. A place to slow down, breathe, and begin again.

As your therapist, my goal is to empower you with tools and insights that foster independence and self-awareness. Together, we'll build a strong foundation for self-acceptance, inner peace, and stability, guiding you toward a more centered and fulfilling life.

Embarking on this journey is a courageous act. Schedule a free consultation with me today to help you navigate becoming your best self.

I’m Makenzie.

I believe you deserve relief from anxiety and to feel more in control of your life.

I’m a licensed therapist based in the mountains of Asheville, NC, and I help millennial adults find their way through anxiety, panic, and self-doubt—toward a life that feels calmer, clearer, and more centered.

I specialize in holistic approaches to healing symptoms of anxiety or panic, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, and alcohol abuse. Drawing from both personal experience and evidence-based, solution-focused practices, I tailor our sessions to meet your unique needs.

By working with me, you’ll learn to manage your anxiety instead of feeling controlled by it. You will learn how to establish boundaries so that you feel more in control, develop skills to minimize anxious thoughts, and feel more confident with how you face your fears in life.

Together, we’ll work on connecting you with your authentic self—the person who is not hiding behind anxiety, depression, or alcohol. Through our work together, we will activate meaningful change and grow a sense of purpose.

The goal isn’t to feel perfect, but rather to feel more like yourself again.

    Holistic Healing

Holistic healing is therapy that addresses the whole person—the mind, body, and spirit—rather than focusing only on one specific symptom.

Together, we explore your issues with more context to see the interplay between mental and physical health, as well as spiritual and social well-being.

    Sober Curious

Therapy for alcohol & substance abuse includes understanding the reasons for drinking as a coping skill. It focuses on processing past traumas, mental health symptoms, and motivations for change.

Changing your relationship with alcohol or wanting to enter a life of recovery involves a lifestyle shift altogether.
